Salsa Verde

Green Sauce! There are a lot of different versions of this and there is no right or wrong way to make salsa verde, it just needs to be green! My version is as follows:


This recipe yields about 2 cups

  • 1 bunch cilantro, leaves and stems
  • 1 bunch parsley, leaves only
  • 4 green onions, green and white parts
  • 1 small jalapeno
  • 1 bunch chives
  • 2 tsp salt
  • zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup olive oil


Add all the ingredient to a blender and puree till smooth. Can be stored in the fridge for a few weeks. Goes well with just about everything!
